Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is under fire following the release of a video that reveals his disappointment regarding Donald Trump’s win in the 2024 election. In the clip, Walz reflects on the election results, expressing disbelief that voters did not respond positively to the Democrats’ message of inclusivity.
He acknowledged the need to understand what type of leadership Americans want, noting that Trump’s stance contradicts his own.
Walz stated, “I think we’re going to have to understand what type of leadership they want.”
Walz added, “We were pledging to be inclusive, we were pledging to bring people in.”
Walz said, “Donald Trump has said that that isn’t what he wants. And so if that’s what America is leaning towards, I guess for me it’s to understand and learn more about America.”
Walz said, “I thought they were going to probably move towards a more positive message.”
Critics later accused Walz of being condescending toward voters who disagree with him.
