A sea of Trump supporters gathered outside Madison Square Garden for former President Donald Trump’s recent rally. Despite the cold weather, some supporters arrived 24 hours before the event.
The Trump-Vance campaign saw over 20,000 attendees, and Speakers included Trump, J.D. Vance, House Speaker Mike Johnson, Rudy Giuliani, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
The event sold out quickly, which led the campaign to setup large screens outside the venue.
“We sold it out in less than three hours. But people are going to come anyway. We have big screens outside. It’s going to be unbelievable. So come anyway. I mean, come, maybe you get in, I don’t know, but it sold out very quickly,” Trump said.
“It’s fantastic. It’s going to be fantastic,” Trump added.
Many believe that Madison Square Garden, famous for hosting historic events, was a pinnacle stop for Trump’s campaign. The rally was part of a series of stops Trump has made in blue states.
The rally wasn’t the first time in 2024 that Trump has seen strong support in New York. In May, Trump drew large crowds in The Bronx during his court proceedings. A rally at Crotona Park also reached capacity, with more supporters filling nearby streets.
The Madison Square Garden rally was followed by an event in Virginia with Governor Glenn Youngkin.
A recent Quantus Insights poll has indicated that Virginia could be crucial.
